Partitioned Image

The partitions can be used when displaying the image. This figure shows the partitioned mode of this figure . When Use Boundaries is checked in the menus, or the corresponding toolbar button is pressed, the pixel color is the color of the middle of the partition in which the pixel lies. When so colored, the file name in the title bar of the image window is followed by "Binned". The coloring mode does not affect the edge material color. The image window context menu contains an item to show the binned image in a separate window.

The Use Boundaries in New Window item in the image context menu shows the binned image in separate window. Contrast and other changes made in either the binned or original unbinned window are also applied to the other window.
