Changes between Versions 3.54 and 3.63

• Symbols can now be up to 16 characters long
• Error messages are more informative, usually pointing to the bogus symbol in question
• The length of a symbol expression has been increased from 60 to 130

Messages

• Warning and Informational messages, as distinct from error messages, added
• Error and Warning messages changed to be more informative
• Error, Warning, and Informational messages can, for each type, be directed to a popup message box or to the transcript area of the user interface.
• More Error and Warning messages dealing with surfaces and cells now give the user number (as it exists in the MCNP or Sabrina input file), rather than the internal number

MCNP Input Files

• Specifications on MCNP cell cards, such as vol =, are recognized and handled gracefully.
• Longer real numbers (up to 30 characters) accepted
• TR accepted (as well as tr)
• Better treatment of TR usage and unreferenced TR cards
• Total numbers of errors and warnings found while processing MCNP file are reported
• ID numbers of surfaces added as part of a cutter body (ICUT) no longer conflict with MCNP surface numbers

QPALET -- Color Setting commands

• Display of color palette is not given by default when color map is changed (QP INIT)
• Automatic color setting by material or cell:
  QP M AUTO
QP C AUTO
• Added global minimum brightness specification for color map (QPALET SET MINB)

QTRANS -- Transparency Setting Commands

• Semi-transparent mode added. See an example.
• Query mode now works:
  eg QT C 1 returns transparency setting of cell 1
• ALL option
  eg. QT ALL OPAQUE
• Multiple cells or materials may be set at once:
  QT T M 1 2 3 4 ...

WINDOW -- Spatial Window Manipulation

• Window with no arguments lists Windows
• Can set Window to limits found from ptrac file
• Prompt given for missing values
• If single, positive number given, it is applied to all bounds:
  WINDOW 1 100 same as
  WINDOW 1 -100 100 -100 100 -1000 100

Zoom

• ZOOM LOCK is now the default mode---the zoom state remains fixed when the next image is made.
• ZOOM FIRST and ZOOM LAST now work correctly, giving the zoom state when the model was first displayed and the previous zoom state.
• Zoom is better at remembering previous type of image
• ZOOM LOCK bug fixed
