Popup Tips

Popup Tips display a brief message about the function of each Action Button, each button on the Particle Track Toolbar, and the contents of each menu on the menubar.

The Tips are displayed or not according to the state of the Show Popup Tips toggle button in the Help Menu.

The state is saved from session to session in the sabrina.ini file.

The Tips are shown when the mouse cursor enters a Button or Menubar item. (They are not shown when a button receives the input focus as a result of keyboard traversal.)

The delay between the cursor entering the window and the diplay of the Tip is specified in the Resources file by:


! Delay (milliseconds) for dyanmic Tip message popups
sabrina*PopupDelay:     300

The text for the Tips is taken from the Resources file. Under the heading

are resources such as (note the use of \n as a line break)
