Obtaining Help for Menu Items

The HELP key (if one exists) or F1 (unless it has been remapped to perform other functions) invoke help for the item that has the focus when the key is pressed.

To obtain help for a menu item, the menu must be traversed using the keyboard rather than the mouse:

  1. Open the menu by a left mouse click on a menubar item or alt plus the appropriate mnemonic.

  2. Navigate around the menus using the arrow keys.

  3. Press the HELP or F1 key when the desired item is highlighted.
There is no help for the cascade buttons that display a submenu.

Browser Tips

The first call to the html browser (eg. Netscape Navigator) will take a few seconds while Sabrina asks each window "Are you Netscape?".

If the browser is not running when a help topic is requested, Sabrina will ask if it should be started. If the answer is 'Yes', wait until the browser has started before reentering the help request (Sabrina does not remember the original request).

The browser window is raised to the top whenever a help request is made. If it is iconified, it is de-iconified.

Ignore any occasional complaints from the browser about protocols, etc.
