Test

When the Test mode is enabled (Test menu item checked) the geometry model is checked for regions of undefined and over-defined space as a picture is made by Color, Etch, or Draw. The Geometry Testing increases execution time, sometimes substantially.

For ray-traced plots (COLOR and ETCH), poorly defined spatial volumes are drawn with the error color (default RED). The error pixel has priority over regular nontransparent pixels. As usual, only nontransparent cells are displayed where errors are not present.

For line plots (DRAW and RDRAW), the transparency table is ignored, and all space is drawn as transparent except where errors are detected. TEST ON requires TRACE ON in line drawing mode.

After the plot is completed, the test results are reported. If errors were detected, error messages may be found in file errfile.txt that may be displayed with the Cat errfile.txt item under the File menu. The listing of errfile.txt is neither displayed nor updated automatically after errors are detected.
