ACCEPT command.
The file may contain ACCEPT commands in addition to the geometry block;
Sabrina ignores the former.
We have assumed a .its suffix for ACCEPT input files.
If a file name is not present, Sabrina expects ACCEPT commands to
be typed at the command prompt;
typing STOP terminates the ACCEPT mode.
The ACCEPT module is under development and has not been extensively tested. Be prepared for inconsistencies.
Sabrina's syntax for the
ELL
(Ellipsoid) differs from ACCEPT's syntax;
Sabrina recognizes the ACCEPT ELL when reading Accept input.
The ACCEPT zone descriptions may include a subzoning specification. Sabrina correctly reads such zone descriptions, but discards the subzoning information. Subzones are thus not shown in Sabrina's pictures, and ACCEPT files written by Sabrina do not include the subzoning parameters.
Sabrina usually requires all space to be defined when ray tracing
(COLOR and
ETCH figures)
and when line drawing with
TRACE
ON.
It may be necessary to add an additional zone to an ACCEPT
model that defines space exterior to the model.
The command Viewpoint
Undefined
OK
(VIEW U
O)
permits ray tracing of a solid body geometry when the outside space
is not defined. At present, transparent zones are not rendered
properly when undefined space is permitted.
Undefined space behind cutter bodies is also troublesome.
