Redundant MCNP Surfaces

MCNP permits redundant surfaces to be defined in its input. Sabrina removes such surfaces, including those which are created as a result of surface or cell transformations, and replaces their use in a cell description with a reference to an equivalent surface. A message is printed for each surface so removed. MCNP input files may also contain surfaces that are defined but not used. Such unused surfaces may cause bogus geometry errors when checking for bad space with TEST ON (Test checked under the Options menu). A warning message is given if unused surfaces are present before a geometry check. The existence of a cutter body also generated these warnings in previous versions of Sabrina. Although those warnings have been removed, cutter body surfaces may occasionally cause trouble when geometry testing.
