Using MCNP Input Files: Tutorial Example

An example follows a Sabrina session to explore a simple but unknown MCNP geometry. The problem originated as an MCNP repeat of a KENO criticality benchmark problem. It consists of a uranium sphere on a Plexiglas collar with a cylindrical water reflector. The examples directory contains crit1.sab, the Sabrina input, crit1.mcn, the MCNP input file read by crit1.sab, and crit1.transcript, a full record of the Sabrina session. (These transcripts were produced with an earlier version of Sabrina, and the output form the current version may be slightly different.) A similar set of files starting with crit2 examines two blocks surrounded by an annulus.

To run the example, select Read Sabrina under the Files menu. Then choose crit1.sab in the file selection box. The script contains WAIT commands that pause execution so that comments in the File Listing may be read. (The List Files mode should be enabled.)
