QPALET Set Color Parameters Commands

QPalet Set { Colors OFfset PLanes SHades SLots } N

These QPALET SET commands specify the color slots available on the graphics device and how to divide them up into basic colors (yellow, green, red, ...) and shades. These values are not all independent. These settings will not take effect until QPALET INITIALIZE or first form of QPALET SET is executed.

QPalet Set Colors NCOLOR

Use this many basic colors. Some number of shades of these are defined.

QPalet Set OFfset N

Leave color slots below N alone.

QPalet Set PLanes N

Assume the display device has N color planes.

QPalet Set SHades NSHADES

Use NSHADES shades for each basic color.

QPalet Set SLots N

Only change the color map in N slots above offset. NCOLORS X NSHADES must be less than the maximum number of colors available.

QPalet Set MInbrightness X

Set the minimum brightness level for each colors. X must be between 0 (very dark, the default setting) and 1, full brightness.
