The first argument determines how finely screen pixels are grouped into user pixels:

COARSE /
FINE /SUPER
determines whether a 17, 9, or 1 square pixel grouping is used to
determine intensity variation. If the colors are the same at the
corners and center of the square, the intensities are filled in by
interpolation, otherwise the square is subdivided. Increasing the
resolution increases processing time. There is no interpolation
in SUPER resolution mode.
CResolution
with no arguments reports the current settings.
