Tessellation

Wire Frame SphereThe number of polygons used to represent a shape depends on the tessellation parameters. These parameters are set on the 3D Style property page. The parameters give the number of divisions in 2 directions. The accuracy of the 3D representations increases with higher tessellation, but so does the rendering time. Reducing the parameters should improve performance on graphics challenged computers.

Wire Frame TorusWire Frame RCCA shape is represented by 4- or 3-sided polygons covering its surface. For spheres, cylinders, and cones, there are Stacks divisions in the polar (along the axis) direction and Slices divisions around the circumference. A disk is represented by Slices spokes and Stacks loops. A torus has Rings segments around the axis of symmetry and Sides segments around the minor radius circumference divide a torus.
