Scrolling
The scroll bars at the edges of the 2D cut windows and the arrow keys scroll the image in the cut windows. While moving the position with the scroll bars, all non-hidden surfaces are drawn, but no cells. Holding down the Shift key results in a larger movement when scrolling with the arrow keys. The Page-Up and Page-Down keys also perform vertical scrolling.
The scroll button always returns to the center of the scroll bar following a movement. Subsequent scrolls are relative to the new position. The Scroll Factor on the 2D Options property page sets the extent of the scrolling. The scrollable area is the factor times the visible portion of the window. For a window with the visible X values extending from -100 to +100 and a scroll factor of 4, scrolling all the way in the +X directions results in the visible X values between +200 and +400. A subsequent maximum scroll in the +X direction results in X between +500 and +700. When using the scroll bar, the Position tab of the Information window shows the current position of the center of the window.
Several menu items set the scroll position. In the 2D Center submenu of the Graphics menu, Center scrolls the active cut so that the coordinate position (0, 0) is at the center. Center on Geometry moves the center of the active cut to the center of the 3D scale box that encloses all of the geometry and changes the cut depth to the center of the global box. Center All and Center All on Geometry do the same for all cuts. The Center submenu of the 2D context menu contains similar items. When a cell, surface, or body is picked, the submenu contains items for centering the active or all cuts on the selected object. The Cell submenu of the 3D context menu contains an item to center the 2D cuts on the selected cell or body.
