Motion Display Styles
A separate motion lattice display style can be used while the 3D image is rotated with the left mouse button pressed or zoomed or panned with the right mouse button held down. The regular static display style returns when the mouse button is released. The motion style is also used while a clip plane is being positioned. The motion style should be a setting that offers good 3D performance, such as Draw as Points and use of a Resolution factor > 1. Use of the two styles obviates the need to degrade the quality of the static image to achieve acceptable 3D interactive performance. When the motion display style is used, right mouse zooming (control key held down) and panning (shift key held down) proceeds more quickly than using keys and buttons. Separate motion styles are available for lattices and universes. The Figures show detail of a fuel rod shipping cask drawn normallyand with the filling universe representing the rods drawn as a single line
. The latter is useful as a motion style.
