The Moritz Interface
Moritz uses the Windows multiple document interface. It consists of a container window and several child windows. The menu spans the top of the container window just below the title bar. The (optional) toolbar is just below the menu. The toolbar contains buttons that invoke some action. When the cursor is held over a button, a tooltip appears with a short description of the button's function. The (optional) status bar is at the bottom of the container. The leftmost panel gives a description of the function of a selected menu item or feedback on what Moritz is doing. The next panel displays an expected user action or some of Moritz's settings, such as whether geometry testing in effect.
A single child window is active at any time. The title bar of the active window is highlighted. Clicking a window activates it. Some menu items change their state according to the type of the active child window.
A number of toolbar buttons and menu items show dialogs or property sheets; the menu items that do so have an ellipsis `...' appended to their name. A property sheet is a collection of dialogs, each of which is known as a property page and can be accessed by selecting its tab at the top the sheet. The property pages and dialogs show additional information and contain controls for entering data and commands.
