Color Legend Bar
A color legend bar, consisting of a numeric scale overlying the colors and a label, shows the correspondence between the colors and values. The scale can be linear or logarithmic. The scale above is linear. This Figure
shows a vertical logarithmic scale. The legend is first set up in the Color Legend window with parameters entered in the Color Legend dialog. It can be pasted in the 2D and 3D plots. Once pasted, changes made in the Color Legend window take effect immediately in the plots.
If logarithmic scaling is in effect, only the exponents are shown when there is a large number of decade cycles. In this case, "LOG 10" will appear before the label.
A multiplier may be applied to the numbers on the scale. The multiplier only changes the scale, not the color coding of the data on which the legend is based.
