Splitting Cells
Cells can be split at a PX, PY, or PZ plane. The cell must intersect the plane. Only simple cells-without a union (:) or complement (#) in their cell description-can be split. The splitting of a cell results in two cells, one on either side of the plane.
To split a single cell, right click on an eligible plane within the desired cell in a 2D plot and select Split Cell at Surface in the Cell submenu of the 2D context menu. To split all cells that intersect with a plane, right click on a plane and select Split All Cells at Surface in the Surface submenu of the 2D context menu or pick a plane and select the Split All item in the Actions submenu of the Surface menu.
