Additional Track Files

2 Track FilesWhen a particle track file is loaded, reading another track file replaces the existing tracks if Replace Tracks on Read is checked on the Track Options property page. Otherwise, the original tracks remain and both data sets are shown. If Modify Additional Tracks is checked, the Track Modify dialog appears when the second and subsequent files are loaded. On the dialog, one can specify values to add to the coordinates, energy, weight, time, and history number of the tracks in the new file or change the particle type. Changing one or more values provides a means to distinguish one set of tracks from another. The Figure shows two sets of tracks emanating from the same source at the top. The tracks were selected in different MCNP runs if the particles reached different detectors. The energies in the second set of tracks was increased so that their colors are yellow and green when colored by energy. The first set of tracks with lower energies are mostly red.
